Electrical Engineer to assist with the design and development of hardware for complex electrical and optomechanical systems for aerospace and defense applications. Responsible for portions of designs of new embedded electronics boards for precision electromechanical systems, electronics architecture design for new products, and troubleshooting of electronics issues in existing products. A successful employee in this role will work closely with the entire engineering team to develop electrical hardware meeting system requirements and design specifications. We are searching for a Technical Program Manager to help oversee complex research and development (R&D) projects, prototype development and transition to production. In this position, you will manage hardware, software and firmware development teams and encourage an efficient workflow. This may involve adjusting work schedules or implementing process improvement tactics. You should be familiar with the Agile project management method and the associated tools, such as JIRA. Our ideal Technical Program Manager has a strong technical background with a bachelor's degree in science, math, or engineering, several years of research and development or early prototyping experience, and some experience as a team lead or manager. You should also be comfortable using program management software and methods.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform project planning. Work with the project technical lead to establish technical direction.

You will support the software development for our major product lines: high-energy lasers, complex multi-spectral imaging sensors and autonomous/robotic systems. You will oversee the software team, defining tasking, ensuring schedule compliance, conducting performance reviews, etc.  You should be comfortable working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in the software architecture of our major product lines: high-energy lasers, complex multi-spectral imaging sensors and autonomous/robotic systems.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the actions of the development team. Defining tasking. Ensuring schedule compliance. Conducting software performance reviews, etc. 
  • Manage the development lifecycle of software products
  • Research new technologies to strengthen the organization
  • Implement principles of software systems engineering including requirements generation, flowdown, and validation. Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
  • Oversee the development of high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc. Approve final product before launch
  • Oversee the development of software design documentation for prototypes and production products.
  • Conduct risk assessments of software processes and tasks.
  • Support proposal efforts for new programs developing the technical, business and cost approaches. 
  • Assist with technical mentorship, performance assessment, goal setting, and related developmental activities.
  • Develop and maintain software technical competencies roadmap. Develop plans fill the gaps identified through training or acquiring talent.
  • Assist with the hiring and training new team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited university with a minimum of 10 years’ experience leading software development and production programs. MS in computer science is a plus. 
  • Proven experience as software architect
  • Experience in software development platforms and coding in several languages, most specifically embedded real-time s/w design, Linux; Android, VxWorks, VHDL, image/graphics processing environments and Python
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of industry best practices in software development and management
  • Experience with Agile Development

Job Responsibilities

We are searching for a Test Engineer with 2-5 years of experience.  As part of a diverse team, you will develop, manage and execute test plans and procedures.  You will develop test methods, test support equipment and test procedures to efficiently complete integrated system testing for our major product lines: high-energy lasers, complex multi-spectral imaging sensors and autonomous/robotic systems. You will be coordinating and directing the testing through development, prototyping and production.  This is a hands-on testing job and you will have ownership of electrical, mechanical, optical and other systems.  You must be able to operate independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects.  You must be a high energy, self-starter, with strong desire to bring success to assigned projects and other opportunities necessary to realize company growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop test methods, test support equipment and test procedures to efficiently complete integrated system testing. 
  • Design and build test fixtures. 
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug testing scripts and software.
  • Integrate and test precision electro-optical assemblies. 
  • Perform unit and system testing, analyze test data and create test reports.
  • Support material acquisition. 
  • Provide postproduction support
  • Interface with hardware and software design and development teams.
  • Assist with technical mentorship, goal setting, and related developmental activities.
  • Assist with the hiring and training new team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • B.S. or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited university.  MS is a plus. 
  • 2-5 yrs experience with at least 2 years in test.
  • Experience with prototyping/testing/manufacturing precision optical systems or mechanisms.
  • Experience with developing systems engineering process for integration and test.
  • Capable of writing detailed test procedures.
  • Capable of learning new systems quickly.
  • Able to read and follow procedures and flow diagram.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems in a systematic and timely manner, drawing correct and realistic conclusions based on data and information, and accurately assessing the root cause before moving to a solution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electronic hardware, real-time computing platforms including single board computers and microcontrollers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Experience programming using C/C++ and Python; Experience with SolidWorks CAD. 
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for test automation (e.g. Python, Labview).
  • Experience developing on both Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Subversion or Git.

Senior Mechanical Engineer to conceptualize, design, analyze, test and validate opto-mechanical structures and mechanisms for high-energy laser and complex multi-spectral imaging systems used in challenging dynamic environments. In this position you will be responsible for product development process including requirements development, analysis, design, documentation, supplier management, manufacturing, and validation. In addition to design, a successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will perform hands-on assembly, integration, and qualification of in-house designs. Job Description: The IT System Administrator will be responsible for the company IT infrastructure.  This includes server management/maintenance, desktop setup, IT processes and procedures, and IT security management.  The position will deal with various operating systems to support company backend and program computing needs. Job Responsibilities

We are searching for a Lead Controls/Algorithm Engineer to lead the development, analysis, and/or optimization of complex control systems. In this position, you will research, design, simulate, specify, implement, debug, and test control system algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, thermal and optical and optomechanical systems.  You should be able to operate independently with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects.  You should also be able to work collaboratively with responsible electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers to define sensing requirements, establish control system capabilities, set performance targets, etc.  You should also be comfortable working in a start-up environment. Duties and Responsibilities
